Depends upon the perspective of the asker and the answerer.

To those who've benefitted from greed, it's trite, boring and unchallenged. To those who've skipped meals to survive, they may be the next Bill Gates.

The real question about avarice is "Why do you want more?"
"Who will benefit (other than myself)?" "What are the ramifications of my actions if I pursue wealth - will I be taking away from others unjustifiably, or can I advance myself upon the wealth of those who already have it?"

Inevitably, the question is "Will I be happy if I have material security, or will I be so addicted that I will never be happy unless I have more and more?"

Greed is good if you want unhappiness, loneliness, and a lifetime of unattainable goals. Greedy people never have enough and will never be satisfied. Nothing is good enough because they will always want more. Relationships can be destroyed, careers can be destroyed, financial status can be destroyed, and the list goes on and on. I, personally, see no good in greediness. It's one thing to be ambitious, but one has to know their limits. The answer: Greed is NOT good.

People with greed will do whatever they think is necessary to service their greed. It is a dog eat dog world after all. Treat people badly, steal, rob, rip off, defraud, lie, cheat, steal.....

Who cares if someone starves to death. I got mine.
Who cares if someone is homeless. I got mine.
Who cares if someone dies of a treatable and curable illness. I got mine.
Who cares if someone rots away because they can't afford a medication. I got mine.
Who cares if someone suffers because they can't afford surgery. I got mine.

Greed -- take it or leave it.

being greedy is one thing , being rational is another...Being a little greedy does not mean that you are not greedy...Being too rational would easily turn to greed, as it had been said from love to hate is only one little step.Same would be applied to rationality. So balance is needed in being rational..Both might look similar , ..positive and negative side of one coin, yet being greedy does not need verification, it is greed, disrespectful, no questions about it, and being rational is only questionable by seeker in search of balance,,,Once being found it becomes respectfully obvious no question arises...

How so? Greed would eventually lead to crime, and crime is bad.

Revise this question. Elaborate and then you'll get an answer.
You might as well ask:

Pain is good?
Lust is good?
Loneliness is good?
etc.
