You could get a "put it together yourself" student desk as someplace like KMart or Target, and paint it the color you want with spray paint. Pick up a cheap kitchen chair at a rummage sale and spray paint it the same color. You could even thumb tack some pretty material around the chair like a skirt. Buy a cheap wall mirror and spray paint the frame to match. Attach ribbons to it or sparkles - anything you want to put on it! Hang it on the wall and - wallah! - you have a vanity table, chair and mirror!
If you really want to have some fun and go crazy, pickup some flower pots from rummage sales, clean them up then spray paint them to contrast or match your table. You can decorate them too. Use them for silk flowers, makeup, pens\pencils, combs\brushes\clips, your cell phone - anything you want!
