Obviously he is one of the elite hitters in the game today, is hands down the best clutch hitter of the past few seasons, and a perrenial MVP candidate. I'm simply asking to see what the idiotic Yankee fan will have to say (this does not apply to rational and non-arrogant Yankee fans).

Yes of course he is one of the elite..I am glad you differentiated between the different types of fans..I cant stand when people here just assume all red sox fans are jerks or all yanks fans are jerks..

Yankee fan here...

He's a great hitter, but definitely not the best clutch hitter. Against the Yanks though? Sure. Nevertheless, I think it's sad that people actually consider him MVP material. There are many people that are just as good hitters but actually play the field as well...those are your true MVPs, not someone who can only excel at one thing.

Yankee fan speaking:

He is a great hitter, I'm not gonna take that away from him. Not necssicarily the best clutch hitter, but I'd want him up in the 9th more than most players. But he is out of shape and will be out of baseball be4 u know it, like Mo Vaughn. He'll get hurt, and become injury prone 4 the rest of his carrer.

Letting me start up by announcing i'm a life-time 2nd era long island Yankees followers. That being stated, you're able to provide the guy his due. I hate seeing him come to the plate previous due in a focused sport, simply by fact he in many circumstances gets the interest carried out. besides it fairly is no longer person-friendly to be a grasp hitter whilst your group is dropping by extra then 4 runs, as in many circumstances became the case this weekend. yet another project to undergo in strategies is, as great as Ortiz is, he nonetheless will fail a minimum of 50% of the time, this is basically the character of baseball.

Ummm I am a Yankee fan and he is a great hitter, but he wont ever be a Yankee. He doesn't have the criteria of being a Yankee besides being a great hitter !! Yanks are more than that ALOT MORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
