Danios lay eggs ....they will lay them at the bottom of the tank and then the males will come along and fertilize them...then the parents and any other fish you might have will eat the eggs or the fry if the eggs dont get eaten first ....best thing to do is have lots of plants for the fry to hide in or have the parents spawn in a seperate tank and then take them out.

As the previous answer says, danios are egg layers. Specifically, they are called egg scatterers because they do exactly that, scatter their eggs in plants and across the bottom of the tank. Here's a couple of sites for more information on breeding them

Hope that helps

they gained't fit in a 10 gallon. the rule is a million inch of finished grown fish in step with gallon. Danios get approximately 2 inches long corys get 2-2.5 inches long so which you may wish a 20 gallon tank. they'll consume the eggs so which you're able to desire to place them in a distinctive tank as quickly as they lay the eggs. they are good fish and are easy to shield.

Females always look fatter than the males. The males are thin and torpedo shaped. I have 2 females that looked like they are always about to dump eggs..but so far? No eggs.
