Well, it is probably odds on that you aren't pregnant. The HPT's test for hormones that will be elevated and/or present when you are pregnant, and by the 2nd or 3rd month, it would surely show (usually the further along you are, the quicker the test will come up positive as well). Missing your period can be very normal, often triggered by things like stress, diet, and other factors. But to have gone this far along without a period could be indicative of other health problems. I would make an appointment with your family doctor (if you dont have a doctor or insurance, there are many health clinics that are available). One of the first things that they will do is a pregnancy test that will be a lot more accurate than an HPT. No matter what the results, I would talk to them about your symptoms and concerns. Your doctor will have some ideas as to what could be causing your pregnancy symptoms and missed periods if you arent pregnant. They will be able to check you out and run whatever tests they think you might need. I definitely wouldnt wait though... if you are pregnant, you will want to get with an OB/GYN as soon as possible to help you along your way to a healthy, happy baby. If you aren't pregnant, and it is a different health problem, early detection is always key.

Try using a different test. Different brand name, I mean. If you still get a negative then have a Dr. do a blood test. It isn't uncommon for a woman to miss a period completely. There are many things that can throw a cycle off it's schedule. Stress is one of those things. But if you miss 3 periods completely and are testing negative that could be a sign of a more serious problem that your doctor should be informed of.
There have been cases (extremely rare) where a woman who wishes to be pregnant so bad that her body will think she is and she will have symptoms as if she was. All the symptoms.
If I missed 2 months in a row, and was testing negative, I would be camped on my drs. doorstep!
All woman are different though. Try to make wise decisions where your health is concerned.
Good Luck

you should go to the doctors and have your blood tested to see if you are pregnant. sometimes pregnancy test do not work or detect the hormone in the persons body. a blood test to see though will tell you for sure so go into a clinic or your local health unit or doctors office and make the requests. let them know what has been going on with your body and why you feel you need the test. there might be something else causing these symtoms.

I would go to the doctor as there must be a reason you haven't had your period in 3 months. Pregnancy tests can come up negative for a lot of reasons. Go get a blood test and if that comes back negative as well...I would insist they investigate the reason my period had stopped. Good luck.

Go to the doctor. If you haven't had your period for 2-3 months then there could be something else wrong not the fact you are pregnant.

I would make an appointment with your doctor. You need to know why you haven't had a period for 2 or 3 months.

If the test said no than your not pregnant. You should go to the doctors and tell them that you haven't gotten your period and would like to find out why. They will give you a pregnancy test and some other test to see what's going on.
