it is really hard to get a whole tube of toothpate back in the tube. Should I just write it off or continue working on it in my spare time?

Ooohh....you need to get back to Diane's party!

[Yes, I realize you ducked out real quick to get a quick brush in, in case anything (ahem) developed from tonight's little soiree, but] honestly Lieutenant, if you keep getting sidetracked by all these "pressing" matters, you are going to miss out on the fun stuff!

Yes, I know, I know, inquiring minds and all that.....but if I remember correctly, you were sort of trying to concentrate on some of the more important things in life....which is why you have gone to all this trouble tonight......

[Ummmm....relationships for $500, Alex?]

Kevin is tugging on my arm again because he knows what
a tireless matchmaker I am....[Just a minute, Kevin, sweetie]
but you have to admit, she IS adorable....and I thought you were throwing this party just so we could "all" get together and get to know one another a little better....

So.... enough with the toothpaste already!!

did you get hit in the head with the tornado? I'm sure I can spare a tube if you want. . . .unless you enjoy fiddling with toothpase tubes.

You are quite a trooper. I'll tell your dentist. He's the one over there with the purple smoking jacket hitting on Micho. Is that Doc's fourth rum and coke?

I don't use toothpaste (no teeth), but if you're the Lt. Dan we know you to be, I'll bet you can get that toothpaste back into that tube.

patience is the key to putting all of it back. if you believe you can do it then persevere with patience. after all a "journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step."

Write it off-- or put it in a Ziploc bag.
