I just got my period unexpectadly yesterday and was planning on going to Hurricane Harbor (place with a whole bunch of water and pools etc..). I really want to go still, and I'm not comfortable with wearing tampons. What is the best way (if possible) to go into the pool without using a tampon?

I learn to use a tampon with in a day or two, without anyone telling me how to use them. after about the two days my period started and the next time i had to go to the pool. I did just fine with using the tampon. If you want to get into any pools wear a tampon. If you learn to be more comfortable with the tampon on, you don't have to worry about it in the future.

Maybe you can wear some of those light tampons. They are much smaller so they are easier to put in and would feel more comfortable. I know it is hard to get used to wearing tampons, but believe me it is something you will want to do. There's no way you could wear a maxi with a bathing suit, and bleeding all over the place is out of the question, so you will either have to grin and bear it with tampons or don't swim at all. Sorry you're in this situation.

hunny you cant go in the water without using a tampon. a pad will fill with water in your suit and be gross not to mention when you get out of the water you will have blood pouring down your legs that is gross and very unsanitary plus those kinds of places have signs up warning against this kind of thing. you could ruin the pools for everyone by swimming and bleeding. thats gross and germy its like peeing in the pool you just dont do it

Wear a tampon or do not go in.

Not wearing a tampon is nasty.

It IS possible, but do you really want to go without wearing a tampon and have to constantly worry if your flow will drip down your legs?

it's a public place...do you really want to bleed in a public pool? even though your period stops while you're in water, think if someone was also on their period and they hopped into the wave pool with no tampon. not so great.

Well, my health teacher says that the pressure of the water keeps the blood from coming out a lot, and it wouldn't turn the water all red or flow out. But still, people would be able to see it on your bathing suit and it could cause problems when you come out of the water... also I dunno how sanitary that is (o-o;;)... just use a tampon or stay out the water, that's all I can recommend for you, sorry.

i exploit tampons each and each month, and have a bath daily!! it is totaly high-quality and secure they are designed to be thoroughly water tight they only take up the fluid out of your era no longer something, as long as you alter it each and every 3 to 4 hours you would be high-quality. wish this facilitates!!

You cannot go into a pool with your period without a tampon.
You'll bleed into the pool and everyone CAN see it.

Use a tampoon. How would you like a really embarrasing moment instead??? They're not that bad. You get used to it.
