My male friend asked me if he should buy this pair of trousers which was girls cargo trousers as it is cheaper than males, i said" well you could but wouldnt it be tight up there". Im a bit naieve and not sure of whether his question was sarcastic/funny or if my reply was truthful or makes me seem dumb. Would like to know for peace of mind!!

that's odd. usually guy clothes are cheaper than girls.
i would think that it would be uncomfortable. is this an emo thing? guys'll buy girl pants. but those are usually jeans. not cargo pants.
is he straight, or gay? i don't know many straight males that would really want to wear girl clothes.
it's his body tho. as long as he tries them on and they don't look too stupid then let him do what he wants. let him know if he looks ridiculous tho. you don't want him to make a fool out of himself.

Well some emo guys at my school wear girls pants all the time but it is really tight... but I have no clue or not if he was joking.

They will not fit as well as men trousers because mens are cut with a larger waist and less hips

Sounds strange but then I knew someone who used to wear Bebe women's clothes...pants especially.
Truthfully it looked ridiculous one time he showed up at a party with his girlfriend and they were both wearing the same out fit. Talk about creepy...
