Should I use crazy sharpie's? A cool trinket??? Any suggestions that are Luau themed would be appreciated. BTW: All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

The invited should appear the same. Here's an example:

Patty recieves her invitation, sadly noticing no glamourous touch noting she is a VIP, then she see's something at the bottom telling her to flip the card over...BADA BOOM! she somehow (w/ your help) knows she's a vip. yay!

Use plain card stock, fold double, or fold the outsides in so they meet in the middle.
On the outside you print the theme, Luau, but no details like time or place.
Inside you print the details. But over the details you glue, or insert in slots, your "you are a VIP" invitation card.
Make these VIP cards real fancy.
Scrap-booking supplies can help you out if you can not get cardmaking things.

Tie the card around the top of a pineapple or coconut (whtever is cheaper) and hand them out! I think that would be cool. Are your guests really going to compare invitations and know the difference though?

Make a little voucher to stick to the back of the card saying 'As a VIP guest at my fantastic luau party, this voucher entitles you to get 'leid' on arrival. Can't wait to see you there!'
Then purchase some cheesy matching leis and hand them out to the VIPs when they arrive at the party. Fun.
