He is an ineffectual leader that is going freelance with his personal war against Iraq.

We had a good reason to invade Iraq back when the first Bush was in office, the second invasion, we had no justification.

This is the common thought that most Americans share. It is hard to support a man whose decisions is resulting in deaths of thousands when hardly anyone supported those decisions in the first place. Then admitting that he was just kinda spit balling the first four years of war and chaos over there didn't help him out very much.

Religon has nothing to do with politics, as politics is govern by money, not faith.

I think Bill Clinton's approval rating was much higher ..the approval rating of 28% is a very bad thing if he was doing his job and all, it would be up to around 70% But yeah some do still like him but I would be ashamed if only 28% of my constituents are backing me

George has earned his own low approval score. His club in the cranium n Bones society makes his christianity questionable (won't be able to serve God and devil). The bashing he gets is easily deserved, not something to do with religious persecution.

What does his spirituality have to do with his approval rating? Why not.... If G W Bush was voted into office by a majority of the American people, why is his approval rating only 28% now?

One deep faith in God and one's popularity with the masses are not dependent upon each other.

Much depends upon the words and actions of the Christian involved and upon how the population will receive it.

Jesus himself was loved by many but hated by those in power. Some people point out that the crowds were shouting "Hosanna!" on Sunday and "Crucify him!" on Friday. (I don't think that Friday morning crowd was as big; quite a few people were weeping for Jesus as he carried his cross to Calvary.) I think the crowd voluntarily shouted "Hosanna!" but were manipulated or swayed (not coerced, though) into shouting "Crucify him!"

This is not at all to defend George W. Bush or his policies.

I didn't realize that this approval rating was based on how good a christian he is, I thought it was based on how good a president he is...or i should say isn't

Republicans like his sputum about being the friend of business but they forget he is the friend of Saudi oil businessmen. He has failed at every business he has ever been in, and now he has failed in his war business...what a legacy he will have (not)!

"W" thinks he's the Savior, so he's trying to get his approval rating down to where Jesus' rating was in his day.
