An occasional bout of the blues is normal, but if you have been feeling that way continuously for weeks, or longer, you need to go to a doctor for an assesment of your physical and mental health, and go from there for whatever treatment options may be available for you. If it's just an occasional bout of the blues that lasts a day or two, you could possibly chalk it up to hormones, or you could maybe spend some time journaling, and see if you can get a line on if it is an issue, or a sad memory or something that seeks to surface for you to examine it, and get closure on it. I suffer from feeling sad and lonely a lot of the time, and to overcome it I will pop in a movie or listen to some upbeat music. I may also write short stories or read a book.
Hanging out with friends also helps tremendously. Even if my friends are doing something I might not enjoy, it's ten times better than being at home feeling lonely. I hate bars, but I always end up going to one because my friends like to go and it keeps me from feeling lonely.

When I'm worried and I cant sleep...'I count my blessings instead of Sheep'... was a line from a song when I was in my twenties. Still works like a charm today. God put you on this earth with the most wonderful gift of "Choice"...so chose to be happy around people and they in turn will share their happiness with you. Before long your sadness and loneliness will be things of yesteryear.

touch does releace hormones in our ideas. I cant remember which of them off the precise of my head, whether it does. i think of a splash of an animal can do an identical element. I dont think of its basically actual to attempt against loneliness or unhappiness. generally somebody to communicate to and have hear fights it fairly properly. Or somebody to hold close with. basically any style of attractiveness is powerful for it. quite once you could experience secure and calm and trusting.
