I'm in the process of applying to nursing school What appeals to me?
1--helping ppl/making a difference
2--using my brain at work (currently I shut it off most of the time at my job)
3--can you say job security and good $$/bennies?
4--a lot of different fields to work in/chances for advancement--if i don't like ER nursing i can always travel, do home health, work for a drug co, etc.
5--i love the idea of working 3 12 hour shifts and calling that ull-time!
what turns me off?
1-seeing people die/get poor care due to insurance company regulations
2-being bossed around by doctors who may not know or care as much

Yes, I can see myself being a nurse. I just left a job as an Activity Director at a Nursing Home. I'm about to start a CNA course, but that's not what I want to do. I'm only taking it to get closer to a career as a Polysomnograph Technician.

I can't see myself as a nurse, simply because I am too old to do it well and would be even older once trained.
I think I would have trouble dealing with sickness and pain, even though I understand the need for people to do that.
I have the highest possible regard for nurses--especially good ones--who devote their lives to helping others. I have even dated nurses (back when I was single.) But I don't have what it takes to do that and respect those who do.

Nursing is such a hard job, but also rewarding. I have been a nurse for over 30 years now and I still love my patients. god Bless

I have a degree in mortuary science, I work with a lot of dead people, I cannot see live people bleed, I admire those who can. Go nurses!

Yes, that is my dream, to become an RN!!! and if i want to move up from there later, i would like to be a doctor, and if i want to move up from there, i would like to be a brain surgeon!!! I love to help people!!! To help someone and put a smile on their face is the best feeling ever!!! and i have already seen many things and have studied alot of things, i have a strong stomach, so i know i can do it, it is what my heart wants to do!!!
