Toss-up
English walnut in late fall and a camp fire going. Warm walnuts kicks. Can't eat em yet, but I'm working on it.
Other is Black cherry. Come late August, every year until they were cut down, I'd get a belly ache sitting in those trees. Then I'd be good for another year

Oh, that's so tough. I like oak and beech, particularly at this time of year when there's new bright green foliage.
But I have a soft spot for the ginkgo, unchanged for 270 million years. I have a 'bonsai'd' one, given to me as a gift 25 years ago and only 2 feet high. I just love the colour and simple shape of the leaves.
