No, I think there are only 3 million households that have a net worth ( not counting a primary residence ) of US$1M and above.
If you consider a household as about 2.5 people, then your number is about correct.
An article I read some time ago said there were 200 million households in the US, not counting illegals, so with only 3 million households qualifying, all of us in the other 197 million households are bottom feeders.
Heck, give me a net worth of $500K or higher, & I will happily take the title of bottom feeder.

The rich are getting richer and the middle class has lost ground in overall standards of living. We "bottom feeders", the class left under the middle class have not kept up with inflation the past ten years.

Perhaps. But a social Darwinist would say,then liquidate the rest,and let wealth reign. We would become a nation of millionaires,all with a mere gesture in the direction of what the masses euphemistically called genocide. Some call it cleaning up.
