Why do you like R&B music?

It touches my soul. It makes me feel in love with life and people around me. Makes my body move. Relaxes me after a hard day. What is not to like?

I do because it is so nice and beautiful (most of the time-considering how many TRY to do R&B now and can't). Great R&B is the best music. However, a lot of the older stuff (Motown, etc even up to Jodeci) beats this newer stuff except for mainly Ne-Yo, the later Usher stuff, Alicia Keys, early Dru Hill, and 112. Boyz II Men was great in THEIR TIME, too.

Its soothing. It doesn't have a lot of screaming like Rock Music. The people can actually sing. Some songs are so emotional that you will actually cry. That Is why I like R&B Music. ( Ne-Yo, *Chris Brown*, Usher, Stevie Wonder, and Omarion)

Because it's "mood" music. I still pop in Keith Sweat, Tony Rich and Kenny Lattimore from time to time. Lot of good memories with that music fashizzle!

Alan Freed may have coined the term rock and roll, but it's the blues that started it. I love the old school artists like Al Green, Otis Redding and Barry White.

Its very soothing as is jazz, It has also been studied that some of the pitches in the artists vocals reach further into the ear canal.which has been proven to be a very sensual part of the body.

Luther, Chaka, Patti,Aretha...they all tell stories with their music, expressions and performences...and I like musicians who are also story tellers and most old school R&B artists are master story tellers.

Other than me REALLY loving OTHER type music...I just like the beat...
R&B dont have enough GUITAR sound for me...
The beats are awesome though.....
