People are misinterpreting the Mayan Calendar It is NOT the End of Time = it is the end of time as we know it...(there is a big difference in that)
the calendar ends because it is the end of a 26,000yr cycle as Earth conjoins the Galactic Center in the Milkyway....at this point the hertz vibration raises. It is an new cycle at a faster/higher resonance. This time is likened to the glass
(earth) shattering when the opera singer raised the hertz
vibration with a high note...This is Why those in the field of
Spiritual Metaphysics have been working toward clearing
the low energy on the planet to raise enlightenment to a
higher vibration... so the planets denser lower energy becomes lighter and in higher vibration being more compatible to the new resonance - is therefore less likely to
shatter/be destroyed or become a Armageddon...
Reading about earth changes you will see how earth's getting closer to this increase in energy is effecting it with major physical planetary changes.
This is a normal occurrence and science has viewed the
earths history with the past occurrence. It is not just some
made up story it is actual and part of astronomy. It is also
the plan for normal evolution of our planet.
It is time for people to stop guessing and start reading the
valuable scientific spiritual and metaphysical information
on this and determine truth from their own discernment.

here is my collection of ends of the humanity

many predictions are for the years between 2012 and 2020
Nostradamus,the mayas ,Egyptians Jesus ,

and Terrance Mckennas time wave who put the magnetic output of the world into a computor projection that stopped at zero in 2012,this means the globe has stopped and it starts turning
the other way ,the resulting change of currents will turn the planet into a giant washing machine cleaning the surface

then there are the meteors storms (armageddon) ,the gulf of Mexico is the result of one that would have made life exstinct for a while ,this would result in an other ice age because globe gets covered in dust for a few years, blocking out the sun.

then there are more posible natural disasters
Volcanos are coming to life everywhere
the weather has giant storms like hurricanes ,tornados ,tidal waves ,earth quackes

a shift of the earth crust ,would change the position of the poles
under Anrarctica were found fosilized tropical plants indication the pole must have been in a different place then (the mainland atlantis is thought to be under it )

Apart from that , the biggest threat to any species of exstinction is ,when there are too little ,and when there are too many ,so overpopulation is also a threat

and the USA appears to be gunning for a global nuclear conflict .it is most likely that this will get us first ,looking at present politics

the planet will probably survive unless humanities bombs result it to be knocked out of its orbit

so many ends to choose from
if it wasnt so serious it would be rediculous

meanwhile enjoy life .and make the most of it at least we are all in the same boat

There is no prophecy - the Mayans never predicted 'armageddon' that is simply when the calendars we have found end.

Nothing will happen - just like nothing has happened as a result of other prophecies throughout millienia.

No, but before I knew about Mayans and their relation to 2012, I used to (and still do) have bad dreams and premonitions pertaining to 2012. Other people have as well. So I am likely to believe there will be some significance to that year.

There is no Mayan prophecy of 2012. That is just as far as they took their calendar. I have a calendar that ends on December 31 this year. Is that date significant because the calendar finishes there? Of course not.

The significant event of 2012 will be the total eclipse of the sun in November on a track from Darwin to Cairns in northern Australia.

I'm not sure what to believe really. Who says what happens and where? Who can prove or disprove there is a God or Gods or whatever? No one. So, really believe what you will about the end if there is indeed an end to the world/earth but I don't think all of creation will ever end. It might have some crazy and disasterous things happen but that's all. It will continue even though we die during a minut period of time. I'm really hoping we get to do this life over and over again until we think we have mastered it and then go else where to discover more about some other aspect of life forms.

No I don't. I remember when I was in 5th grade and our teacher showed us a Mayan movie and how they sais the world will end in 2012. I remember everyone screaming. Somehow I don't really believe in that. Once people thought you could drop off the earth if you sailed far enough.

it is predicted that by 2010 the ice caps on the swiss alps will melt at least that will happen according to a news paper source on another subject people predicted the end of the world in the medievael ages and it has been moved up ever since all we can do is make sure that nothng we do in rerlation to global warming accelerates it to quickly to control the end of the world or the end of man kind is the question we should ask in that case the world will go on mankind will be exctinct and looked on as some equivalent to dinosaur by new lifeforms if they get as far as us or maybe the sun or planet will blow up after a time ending all life

On December 31, 2012, the decendants of the Mayan race, who thousands of years ago ago discovered intergalactic and faster-than-light travel, and set up colonies in a galaxy far, far, away, will be returning to Earth.

They will destroy all the arrogant, self-serving governments of the earthly nations, and set up a pure Mayan governing structure by which all nations will be judged.

I intend to refinance my house to the hilt in december 2011, go on a year-long luxury cruise, and return just in time to see the end of modern civilzation as we know it.
