I think it's hilarious, don't forget hon (I see that one a lot), sweetie, dummy.

I sometimes use sweetie or hon to soften what might otherwise be a harsh answer. I don't use kiddo. Sparky or spanky I reserve for a joking answer to someone who's asked a silly question. Don't take it so seriously--they could be calling you worse things.

Those kinds of reactions come when someone is perceived as being a know-it-all from their question. The question may appear to have only the answer that the asker is looking for. Some questions do seem childish or very one-sided even though the asker may not mean it that way.

I try to avoid that unless I'm attacked in the same manner.I know it isn't right but I have a hot head and will admit it.

eh... what are you talking about? I hadn't noticed even one answer like that, much less a trend. Perhaps there is one or more who answer as you have stated, but that would be nothing compared to some responses that one could get here... get over it and grow a thicker skin...

I like the questions that cry about the "spin" they are about to receive and how bad liberals are... before one answer is given...
and then they wonder why the answers aren't any good?
maybe being condescending doesn't lead to excellent answers? it's a novel idea!
and I can be condesending, but I don't expect good answers when I am... seems like common sense to me?

Works as good as "lieberal;" just a little less pejorative.
A lot of the postings here don't even warrant a response at all...

If you make poor or unsupported arguments/suggestions in your question or otherwise use immature logic, you should expect some ridicule, sparky.

I think they do believe that. And I think plenty of other Liberal posters give that belief credence.
Iltrex likes to refer to me as "Little Girl," which I find hilarious, given that we are probably the same age and I am 6 feet tall.
