well i guess repetition is the best solution on improving your game....but when im in the field i find that it helps to think about where your going to throw the ball if its hit to you - know what bases are occupied, know where the force out is, and the number of outs

i used to drop my shoulder when i swung and heres what my coach taught me: when you swing, drive the knob on the end of the bat in the direction of the ball. so instead of dragging the bat down to point right at the ground, you are crossing your chest with it

haha i hope you understand what i mean

good luck with your swing! i hope i helped! i suggest you practice and maybe the problem is your balance - if your feet are off balance it might cause you to open your shoulders to the field which will make you kind of back away from the ball

OMG I have had that same problem here's an idea go to a batting cage and practice on holding you hands low and back as far as they can go our travel team goes to a private batting place and this lady named kelli says stride, hips, hand, first take a small stride with you left foot ( i am saying this in a right handed batters prospective if you lefty then do everything opposite) pick up and place down then turn you hips just a smidge so you belly button can act as a video camero and record the pitcher then with your hands at a comfortable position take you swing now with you hands this what I do lay the on your shoulders and just pick them up like an inch. Make sure you stance is comfortable. Kelli says go from from Point A to Point B. Of course no one can have a perfect swing so take bits and pieces of this to help improove you stance you can always email me if you still have questions.

I play softball too.. and one of the girls on my team ALWAYS lets go of the bat when she swings. The only way to fix it is to remember NOT to let go and to just hold on tight to the bat. Everytime she swung, we made sure that she did a full swing without letting go, and she remembered. But if your habit is hard to break, during practice, maybe you could tape one of your hands to the bat, like they did in the movie Benchwarmers so everytime you feel like letting go, you'll remember. Just keep practicing.. and I'm sure you're already great since you've been playing for so many years!!

I make errors like all of us else. for the period of little league i became a appropriate participant yet once I moved as much as intense college baseball i went to being a good participant that did not get a stable style of playing time.
