God is the One and Only Lord. He created the earth and you. He is not a "geezer" because He always has been and always will be. He sent His Son to save you and let you go to heaven when you die. He loves you.

It's funny that you should use the term god geezer. We need to use language and symbols that we can understand. Why do we have an image of god as a geezer? Because from the beginning of time the creator has been there, and because most people cannot grasp the concept, they see him as an old man with a beard. Why is one culture's approach to god right and all the others wrong? Fear. Perfect love casts out fear and god is perfect love. We use our beliefs to divide, not unite; make war, not peace; kill not heal. That is not true spirituality. I am a follower of Jesus. If I follow him, I will love my neighbor as myself. I don't want to kill myself, or hate myself, or ridicule myself. I want love, acceptance, tolerance, peace, healing and forgiveness. Even if you don't believe in a god geezer, you can see the evidence of god in your fellow man, the person you pass on the street who is hurt and damaged as you, who fears death, who wants to be loved. I think our journey here is to become who we are. That is what I wish for myself and for you. Peace to you.

It is logically a fallacy to argue that there is "one"
"true" god. The proposition presupposes an assumption,
which has and is not substantiated by evidence.
"Faith", as we know it is also untenable. Since it
too is based on several confabulated fallacies. The
same is accurate with respect to agnosticism and
atheism. It's not the case to say, that we do not
know one way or another, but it is also not the case
that we do not know that we do not know. The
ambiguity leaves us in a state of evidence, or the
absence thereof, because we cannot explain the
implacability of the universe, which leads us to
Existentialism Kierkegaard, Freddy Nietzsche (AKA,
hermit, whore monger and syphilitic near-do well),
Sartre, Camus and other agnostics, who wanted to
rationalize their hatred for the Stoics in way form or
fashion they could. Thus, they ruminated around and
hatched one of the most dangerous philosophies on
earth: the idea that man is essentially nothing pitted
against the implacability of the universe. If this is
so, then it also nothing to kill somebody, which as we
all know is nonsense. Rather than admit, that their
philosophy breaks down, they would rather proselytize
verisimilitude's of its vagary upon the world as being
the end all and be all of belief systems. The
evidence of the reality check on it is quite another matter. Religion: if it's organized, then pick your poison.

Yes, God is a geezer (old man), and I thank, God, for all old geezers. This country needs Geezers with their decent values and common sense. Geezers get embarrassed if someone curses in front of a women and children and they don't like violence and filth on TV and in movies. During a sporting event during the playing of the National Anthem, they will hold their caps over their hearts and sing without embarrassment. They know the words to this and "God Bless America." More importantly, they believe in them.
I believe in the original geezer and I think he is what keeps us safe and strong, physically as well as spiritually.

The human race are fascinated by things that we don't understand. When we have worked it out, we're not interested anymore. "God" or "Buddha" or any other named entity considered by some to be the all-knowing creator is a temporary label for something we don't yet understand. I think God probably does exist in some form, as I believe that there are other things in this universe aside from living beings. There is the whole spirit world thing to discover for instance, and I think God probably came from a joint spiritual experience long ago - perhaps some people saw "ghosts" and felt they were being guided along a route? The bible and the commandments are nothing to do with God, but are valuable nonetheless.I believe written by some exceptionally clever people way back when to keep the morons in line. If people still valued the lessons of the bible, the morons who make their neighbourhoods hell would not exist in thier current form. People would respect their fellows and their countryside a little more. Social values would be upheld rather than spat upon (quite literally in my experiences!)
In conclusion I think there is God, or perhaps a hierarchy of gods who are something to do with a spirit world we are only just breaking into. God didn't create the universe - it evolved along the lines of Darwin's ideas. God didn't tell everyone what to do and send awful curses if they didn't do it. In days gone by the recent asian tsunami would have been seen as a curse from God. What did the people do wrong? Most of them were impoverished hardworking people trying their best. No reason for God to curse them.
We bring our own curses, we wreck the planet, the planet retaliates.

Geezer?? You should be ashamed of yourself. God breathed life into you. He knew you before you were ever conceived. How dare you make fun of the Alpha & the Omega! The One & Only God!
I pray He forgives you for what you said. God doen;t take blaspheming His Holy name lightly...I'll pray for your forgiveness and salvation.
