Ok so the honda civic i drive around in thats a 99 has a er that shows while playing musuic is the cd platyer?

When i put in a disc it says cde-00 on the lcd screen why is this

If you have an owners manual it gives you a description of the codes. I have a 97 and my manual says code-00 means no disk in magazine. Then it says to insert disk.

It sounds broke to me, you can either have it fixed, or you can put in a new cd player. Either way, it will prolly cost the same.
