Three years ago, Kobe and Shaq decided they couldn't play with each other and went their separte ways. Everyone generally believes that Kobe kicked Shaq out of LA. My question is didn't Shaq want out as well? If I remember right, he wanted a contract extension that the Lakers were unwilling to give and disliked GM Mitch Kupchak as well. If this is true, isn't Shaq as much to blame for the Laker's current troubles as Kobe?

Yes Shaq is just as much to blame for the whole Laker chaos 3 years ago. His ego and and not keeping in shape is one of the reasons the Lakers lost the finals. Plus even when admittedly Kobe got out of line with some of his attitude, instead of being the bigger person he fueled the flames. Everyone blames Kobe for the Lakers breaking up in 2004 but it's just as much Shaq's fault as it is his.

Sell. Kobe and Shaq was a perfect combination. They made magic on the court, off the court is irrelevant. kobe and Shaq won 3 together. You are an idiot for saying Pau gave him two. Kobe gave him too. LeBron would have differed too much to Shaq. In the fourth quarter teams could foul either one knowing they couldn't make a free throw. LeBron and Pau would be a bad combination. Pau is too soft to be the leader and LeBron isn't alpha male like Kobe is. That team would be dysfunctional. LeBron isn't even top 10 of all time yet. Maybe someday but not now. MJ and Kobe are still >LeBron. Live with it.

"ME" is an incorrect answer. Shaq demanded an increased salary for one more year of playing for the Lakers but the ownwer turned down his request. He'd no choice and wanted to leave for Miami. Kobe and Shaq were envious at each other because Kobe wanted to be better "the top leader" than Shaq. Shaq felt uncomfortable with Kobe's ego.

I believe Shaq had the final decision. I think he is making more money now. So I heard, I am not sure though. I think the Lakers should just hire my cousin Adam Parada and add him to their team and the Lakers will do well again. Adam covered for another Laker player two seasons ago but was not singed on. He did wait a while before he decided to be a part of Africa's professional basketball team.

Mutual hate, both wanted to a solo act. Funny thing is neither could have won a championship without the other. 1 player alone does not win a championship, look at Micheal Jordan.
