Well, that's a little bit of a run-on, so here's what I get out of this:
you're right, we Democratic Americans have no right thinking we have rights.
Some things just are.
Survival of the fittest.
That makes Mother Nature my goddess, but whatever.

This would obviously require having multiple gods. Voting for beings that didn't exist would be fruitless.
Furthermore, by sheer virtue of the fact that God is God and existed before us and would have the rules in place knowing that we'd set this up, I'm sure that Heaven would have far more electoral votes than all of Earth combined-- and I doubt Hell would get so much as a vote, so even if you could talk Him into a voting system I'm sure it wouldn't do you much good anyhow.

You cannot make democratic decisions when it comes to religion. To vote on such things would be to eliminate the rights of those that do not believe in such things, and as far as religion goes..that is certainly not reasonable. Think about all the places throughout history that have attempted to make religion a requirement, and how many millions of people have been violently murdered because of it.
To put up God on a ballot against other Gods and Goddesses would mean to pit separate religions against each other, and have the majority win. To do this as an American thing would be pointless...the country is already 'under god' the Christian god, so I highly doubt that you would get anyone to agree to put such a thing up for vote. It would be pointless..you'd just have the same god as always. What do we do with those folks that don't believe in the 'ruling' god..persecute them?
As for making this a World thing..yeah...there's a nice quick route to WWIII. Most countries in this world have one particular type of religion that is adhered to by the vast majority of their population...most of these people would probably pick death over being forced to submit to a different religion.
You also have to take belief into account. Most people know what they believe in and no matter what you tell them, they aren't going to change. Especially when it comes to religion.
You know what would be interesting though..is to see the platforms..to see what folks would come up with in order to make their particular god win the election. How are these for some ideas?
I, God, promise not to kill any more innocent people through the infliction of long term debilitating diseases. (cancer, Aids)
I, God, promise to stop allowing people to kill others in my name (religious wars)
I, God, promise not to take 10% of people income so that way they don't have to struggle to feed their children.
I, God, promise not to ask people to raise millions of dollars a year in order to spread my word, and instead use it to feed the hungry and clothe the poor and indigent.
I, God, promise not to send any more good, law abiding, tax paying citizens to burn in hell for all eternity just because they don't believe in me.

That idea is absurd, you are talking about putting humans (who have an infinitely less amount of intelligence than God) in charge of picking the ruler of the universe. Of course it's not possible. Even if it were what you are talking about is called democracy and democracy always fails. Please don't say the US is a democracy and we haven't failed, because we are a republic. So either way it is just absurd.
Have a good day.

In effect, I already have; the god of the old testament is quite a dreadful concept. But that is, of course, the wrong approach: it is not popular opinion that matters -- it is the evidence. And the evidence is persuasive: there is not the slightest bit that suggests the existence of any sort of god.

It would be a pretty meaningless gesture. A person's beliefs aren't going to change just because someone else voted against them. And truth isn't determined by counting noses, but to correspondence with reality.

You can vote against God already, if you really want that. All you have to do is follow the world.

You can't. You wouldn't exist.
To "vote against God" would mean the end of your existance. Hence you would have never existed at all to have voted against him.
Without a God, it would be ... nothing.

If God exists, God has no need of this world, and especially has no need of my opinion-- or my vote. Such an exercise would be irrelevent.
