Okay, I just changed my birth control pill about to 3 weeks ago due to breakthrough bleeding and odd periods on the last one. I have changed to Zovia, which is a stronger dose then the last one i was on. However, right after i started this one I have gotten sore nipples (only when i squeeze them) and I fell extremely bloated. Is this normal?

I also had a fear of being pregnant (which at this point i would have been 3 months from when my periods started to be weird) but I have taken a hpt and gotten bloodwork done that came out negative. I also got a pelvic exam/ultrasound done this week and they found nothing. So is the pill causing these symptoms??

It sounds like the pill is causing those symptoms. Hormones, etc..You might wanna stop squeezing your nipples if it hurts.

Hey, don't worry about being pregnant - these symptoms definately sound like the pill - and trust me, by 3 months you would know!

all contraceptive pills, injections, etc are a combination of hormones, so if the mix doesn't suit you well then it can produce extreme symptoms like around a normal (i.e. not on the pill) period. Sore nipples and bloating are definately these kind of symptoms.

it may be that your body is just getting used to the new hormones - i think most doctors will let you go 3 months on a new pill to let it settle before considering the symptoms permanant. If it doesn't settle down in this time, I would go back to your doctor and ask them for their advice on a better pill.

Good luck.

in short - oh yeah. What did you start up with and what are you taking now? in case you began your birth control outstanding and observed the insert, you're tremendous. yet, word that hormones can regulate your cycle dramatically. It took merely about a three hundred and sixty 5 days for my classes to go back to known after going off LoEstrin 24

Yes, the pill can cause breast tenderness and bloating to occur. What I did for the tender breasts is go up on cup size when it came to my bra and that helped a lot.

As to if it is normal for those symptoms to occur on the pill, yes they are very common and normal for some women to have.
