I purchased a peice of exercise equipment ten days ago, the manufacturer offered a three year parts and labour warranty on the item. After thee days it developed a minor fault which was recitified with raplacement parts, which I fitted.
On the same day I recieved the replacement parts, another fault occured whilst using it and I sustained an injury. The question is, what should I do next?

Assuming you fitted the new parts acoording to the instructions and you were using the item correctly then you should take it back to the retailer. The retailer should then send the item back to the manafacturer who should check and if needed do a recall. Document all trips made to sort your injury out. Oh and by the way the retailer should take your details for their head office to reply to. Also try the insurance dept at the retailers head office. Hope this helps and get well soon. Don't over do it next time!!

If the injury was cause by the replacement parts, at the least, the manufacturer may be partially liable.

Assuming the parts were installed correctly, they may also be liable. If the parts were not installed correctly, they have no liability.

Additionally, if the injury was obtained by improper use of the equipment, the manufacturer is NOT liable.

I would definitely get my money back. If the injury is minor and nothing major then just let it go from there. But make them understand that they have problem and need to resolve it. I would definitely send it certified and regular mail. Just in case another injury occurs you have documentation of notifying them. Also consult an attorney to make sure you covered your butt. So they can't ignore you.

See a doctor and document the injury...write the manufacturer....call an attorney. And don't buy from that manufacturer any more. And it's not being lazy...manufacturers need to be held accountable for faulty products.
