Hi GMT is now called UTC but means the same thing. Take your time zone offset (probably -4:00 EDT) then subtract it (because it's minus) from UTC. Remember the date changes at 0:00 UTC so 2:00 GMT will be tomorrow's date. In Michigan it will be 8:00 PM http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3d/Timezones_optimized.png

Hi Justin,

At this time of year, 2:00 GMT = 10:00 p.m. (the day before) in most of Michigan. (I don't know where some of the other writers are getting their answers, but in spring/summer, Michigan is four hours behind GMT.)

To be precise, that's the time in most, but not quite all of Michigan. Menominee and the far western end of the Upper Peninsula along the Wisconsin border are an hour behind the rest of the state, and there it would be 9:00 p.m.

GMT is the Greenwich Mean Time. It is the time at Greenwich England. Michigan is, I believe, GMT -4.
