What's the difference between BR8ES and BR8EG spark plugs? I have a 97 cr125 and am considering changing from BR8ES's.

Also where's the best place to buy NGK plugs in packs of 10 or more?

What do you all think is the best for a 97 Cr125, mixed at 32:1 with a new top end? I only run NGK plugs

BR8ES
BR9ES
BR8EG
BR9EG

Or possibly is it worth it to step up to Iridium plugs?

I have ran the es, eg,egv, eix...and find that the eg/egv hold up very well... the eix is decent but over-priced... I use the es plugs while performing plug chops when jetting. As far as the heat range goes... It really depends on how fast/hard you ride... If you are fast(or in sand) and can keep the 9's clean then definately use them... use 8's if you have problems fouling... Or even 7's if you are slow and ride mostly tight stuff. Too hot will cause pre-ignition(leads to piston failure)... too cold will cause fouling...

For optimum milage and good engine characteristics, use a iridium spark plug, good wires and insulation. The gap for your model is 0.5. Get a 0.5 gauge wire and make sure that it just passes through. Hope this helps.

I run BR8EGV in my CR250.
The 9s are a little cold.
Surf the NGK website to understand what the "GV" means.
