They are called Hellenic Pagans. Their religion was taken away from when the roman catholic church came in and burned almost every zeus/greek gods/goddesses' temples to the ground, and murdered countless pagans all across Europe. samething happened in Middle East with Islam and Arab pagans.
I'm into Gallo-Romance paganism. I call all european paganism "heathenism" even though some don't like that term...
Anyways, about your friend. If the religion works for him, so be it.
Jacob P, the greeks and other pagans had their religion taken from them through inquisition and the spread of christianity. you act like chrisitanity was somehow peacefull spread throughout Europe.
AliBaba, I'm guessing that relgiion is Egyptian or Amazigh since they are the most like greeks, right?

Well that depends on whether or not you are part of that religion. Just bear in mind that Greek mythology is MUCH older than Christian mythology, and should not be taken any less seriously.
But to answer your question, I do to some extent.

All form of believes are food for the soul. I believe in an African religion which has great similarities with Greek Mythology...and it works for me.

There is no such thing as a greek religion anymore. Even the greeks know it is not true now.
