Grey,

Anything is possible. You are young, so best you take a "Que sera sera" attitude.

You told very little of your story. How much time have you spent with this guy in person? How much time will you, realistically, be able to spend with him over the next few years? How is your written communication? How close do you FEEL to him?

I daresay, I hope he is not some guy who had a fling with a "convenient" tourist. If that is the case, there is likely no future in it and he may even already have a partner. Listen to your instincts. They are your best protection against predators. I hope this is not the case but without details...

I wish you well.

This is very possible, but it depends on both of you. Trust is a major thing, and is very neccesary in a distance relationship. Communication is kep also, whether its online, emails, letters phone calls or visits, it takes a strong commitment to each other and a lot of faith. I am involved similarly, my fiancee and I met online and chatted on messenger every day and I went to her country and spent some time with her and we really clicked and built the trust we need to be able to sustain our relationship when we spend many months apart. It can happen, but its not easy and dont expect it to be easy. If you two are really in love, it will work. And keep in mind that one or both will have to give up a lot if it gets really serious.

Your best chances of staying together is you both living in the same area, not shacking up and no sex until you are married. Date them the old fashioned way. Date a year or two before getting married. I "met" my husband online, but since we didn't really know each other, about 9 mos after we became email buddies, I decided to visit him. We didn't have sex. Anyway, I decided to move where he was and we dated for 1 1/2 years before getting married. That was after I moved down there that we dated 1 1/2 years. We didn't have sex until our wedding night. We'll be married 5 yrs in July.

Yes that's possible. That happened to me. We did long distance relationship and then got married a few years later. Trusting each other is one of the most important thing to make this relationship successful.

Well the only way it might work if you go see him or he comes sees you at least 3 times a week. Other than that he has to be a priet not to give into tempation in the other country far far away from you. But mircles happen.

Just to ask, but how can you go on a date when your not in the same country? It doesn't really make sense, so there isn't the BIGGEST chance, but maybe, because I've never met you.

It's all a trust issue. If you both trust each other really well, there shouldn't be any doubts of infidelity if everything else is perfect.
