Dennis Keith Rodman (born May 13, 1961, in Trenton, New Jersey) is an American former professional basketball player best known for his defensive and rebounding ability, leading the National Basketball Association in rebounds per game for a record seven consecutive years and earning NBA All-Defensive First Team honors seven times, along with five NBA Championships (1989, 1990, 1996, 1997, 1998). He is the all-time leader in rebound rate and is generally regarded as the greatest rebounder of all-time. He is also well-known for his controversial antics on and off the court. He has been featured in several television and film roles.
When Rodman entered the NBA Draft in 1986, he was officially listed at 6'8" while playing one of the most physical positions in basketball at power forward. Although some will say his height was probably closer 6'6 1/2. Despite often being matched at a height disadvantage, he became one of the most dominant rebounders in NBA history, and was also a two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

Dennis Rodman's heyday was with the Bad Boy Pistons in the late 80's and early 90's. Then he went to the Bulls as a key element of their second threepeat; I think a big part of his job was to relieve media pressure on Jordan & Pippen, as everytime Jordan did something mediaworthy Rodman would change his hair color or do something stupid.
Since then, he has bounced around. A short stint with the Lakers was followed by a retirement, then an ESPN show trying to make a developmental league team. He's turned into a gimmick for some developmental teams and in other countries as a crowd attraction.

I analyze that until now immediately and to tell you the certainty that theory approximately it being a prank did enter my ideas through date April 1st. i think of if he is going to have his extensive style retired, it is going to be as a Piston. I my own opinion i think of his suited years as an basic participant have been right here in MI. particularly some human beings say he replaced into his suited in SA or Chicago, yet i think of as the two a defender and scorer he replaced into at his suited as a Piston. I remember him inflicting particularly some hassle in San Antonio, which contain his infamous cameraman kicking incident. i'm under no circumstances against him having his extensive style retired in Detroit. He replaced right into a key member of the Pistons for years. I do whether think of it is totally unusual timing.
