It has been often said that there is just a thin gray line resting between the two emotions that make up love and hate..and I believe that to be very true. It is relatively easy to feel love and hate for the same person, and to skip from loving to hating, and back again. We all experienced this as teenagers, one day we were best friends with a certain person and then the next day the deadliest of enemies..and a couple of days later....love.

I think that love and hate come in inestimable forms in their strongest extents. It is possible to love a little or a lot, or to do exactly the same with hate. When we grow older we might find ourselves loving things that we used to hate and vice versa. So yes, they are two sides of the same coin..and very closely related. Both are strong emotions which are often exaggerated to ridiculous extents.

One literal difference I can tell between the two is that love can be brought on in a more ethereal sense.."love at first sight"..whereas hate is generally something assigned for specific reasons. People often refer to loving things because they are physically appealing..and maybe this accounts for it to a point. Both are something that in a sense need to be consistently re-inforced, they can lessen over time. Love that is continuously re-affirmed can make you feel as if you're going to burst, and that there is nothing greater on earth. Hate can do the same, it can make you want to destroy people, places and things. Often people think love is stronger because it overcomes all, and is a far more pleasant emotion than hate.

Love can feel stronger than hate at times and hate stronger than love at others, the truth is though that because they are emotions..how strongly we feels them is left up to us. Love may stay over time as hate lessens, but without positive re-inforcement even love might disapear.

Personally, I think love and hate are the most fickle things I have ever come into contact with.....................

does that answer your question?

To me love and hate are the same as it's what is in your soul that matters the most. Both side of the coin are the same for without either you have no coin at all. Great question. Makes you think a bit.

Yes, two sides of the same coin. They are equal in strength. What matters is which is chosen/allowed and how its used.

I know we are not supposed to, but love can be taken for granted sometimes. Hate cannot be taken for granted, its impact is much stronger, and is very hard to get rid of.

Hate is stronger, lasts longer and is much easier to carry out and pass on to others. Like a common cold.

Love and hate are not opposites, just that everyone one of them is in the other end of the line.
