I think of a day when my Dad took me to Arlington to pay respects to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.. It was a Fall day, sunny with a light breeze, and the sky looked the color of blue that you see in the eyes of a newborn child. It was was quiet, and the only contrast was the Dress blue uniform of the Marine Honor Guard on duty.

a hot day in Cuba, walking through the water on the edge of the beach and looking at the clearest sky, i'd ever seen. Wondering where i was going from there, and what path i'd take next in my life. Also thinking, 'must head back as running out of rum!'
