I rarely hear someone telling me to "get lost" I have the sense enough and perception to leave before I ever hear the words or body language of "get lost".

I go back in time to when I lived with my Grandmother in Venice. From where she lived, right on the canal, I can see the sun setting over the Basilica which is made of gold leaf and watch the reflection in the water. Around 5 in the late afternoon,the sky turns pink,then blue tinged with gold and orange and sometimes it changes suddenly to a dark purple and black warning us that a storm is coming. It is a time long ago,and one which is no more; but it does exist in my reverie.

Well, depending on where you are, I believe I would just go home. Turn leave and don't look back. If it's a girlfriend/boyfriend kind of thing then seek out another friend to talk to, go see a good movie and chalk it up as another experience in life, or a lesson learned.

I have no idea, I get lost every time. When I was a kid, I had a neighbor who would tell me to Go home and tell my mommy she wants me, I'd reply with: My mommy doesn't want me. And then he'd say: I don't either, get out of here.

i can*t recall ever having been told to *get lost*. But should I ever be, I*d imagine that I*d want to get away somewhere quiet and private and just be by myself for awhile.

Haven't been told so far. But wouldn't like to stay in the same place as that rude person if told..
