Ok, supposedly there's going to be some sort of gas boycott on like May 15th or something like that. That's not going to work because then everyone will pump gas on the 14th an 16th, so it'll make up for the loss anyway and it's not like they'll really care. The gas station only makes like 4 cents per gallon and the rest goes to them buying gas from the other countries and stuff like that. I can guarantee that gas companies in other countries aren't going to care what we're doing over here, and our gas stations make all of their money off of the convenience stores, and people will still go to those. Really, nothing is going to come out of it and even if something does, it'll only make gas prices go UP, not down. So do you really want to drive gas prices up even higher than they already are?

If the gas company see that there is cooperation among the consumers even if it's only one day then that will make a difference in their bottom line. If they see the cooperation among ourselves then they will think twice about continuing to raise prices just for the profit of it. Whatever the exercise, we as a whole must do something to stop those gas extortionist from continuing to rob the people at the pump.......

There are many dynamics to oil/gas, first a country tries to level the playing field from state to state. The rich take a healthy portion for doing nothing called speculation, which is now joined politics. The there is supply and demand, demand in the future will be higher. Now the supply, industrailized countries like the USA and UK have LIMITED quantities. You guesses it, Russia mostly with all the worlds resources. The US plan is not fairing well there, because they only know the legal way, a hand shake and integrity are lost. Therefore most others are planning to sell elsewhere. Find a enginneer to plug in a 3-D picture under the Emirates and see how much the have pumped all ready. Now you know why its a state secret. I predicted 60 a barrel almost to the month and 80 1.5 years later as the norm. Trust me, the energy squeez has yet to begin. Bio fuel! Dummest thing I ever hear, planets heating up causing drought, not enough food as is.... what do you think. Back to point one the speculators making all the money. Good luck!!!

www.end2crazygasprice.com is the place where gas consumers getting together and said "Enought is Enought" We Must Act Now!
"There is no reason gas companies should make profits exclusively at the expense of consumers"
Let's Start Boycotting Gas Companies Today!

We must act agressively and Show them that the consumers Can have some control over prices and not only gas companies. The best way to be successful is to hit where it hurts: THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS!

WE CAN DO IT !
How? As we all need our vehicles, we cannot simply stop buying gas. However, we can have a significant impact on the price of gas IF WE ACT TOGETHER to initiate a PRICE WAR!!!
Until futher notice WE DO NOT BUY ANY GAS FROM the Slected Gas Stations Above! Think about it! If the major gas companies do not sell gas, they will unavoidably lower their prices and this will immediately result in a PRICE WAR.
In order to generate the desired impact, we must reach millions of gas consumers
This is how we must proceed!
If everyone send email Recommend www.end2crazygasprice.com to 30 others people, and everyone continued Recommend us to others. We will reach 3 MILLIONS people in no time…
YES, WE CAN WIN BUT...
It is absolutely NECESSARY To continue purchasing our gas ELSEWHERE than at the gas stations currently listed at www.end2crazygasprice.com

Price is a function of supply and demand. If the people use all the gas they can burn, to support urban sprawl, for driving as recreation, as conspicuous consumption, they can expect this will be reflected in the price. A boycott might temporarily lower prices, but if the assumed aim is to enable such unbounded, promiscuous consumption then the trend towards higher prices is unlikely to be significantly affected Maybe the oil companies could manage to increase gas supplies, but why would they? When they are meeting demand with the supplies they have, and when increasing supplies would only lower the price they can get for what they sell? They won't do it. Furthermore, the supply can only be increased by making the country even more dependent on foreign oil, necessitating ever more expensive military adventures, to maintain control of global reserves, in the face of growing demand from the developing world, killing thousands, perhaps eventually millions, of innocent people. And for what? Urban sprawl? Recreational driving? Conspicuous consumption? Laying aside the moral obscenity involved, and the enormous public expense, such military adventures are not entirely without risk to the security of the nation itself. Rationing would lower the price.

I have to agree with you on that. The money that the gas companies will supposedly lose on my 15th will be made up on the 14th and 16th, so theoretical speaking, the dollars all come out to about the same anyway. If you wanted to hurt the gas companies, start carpooling more. If you have 3 coworkers who live relatively close by, having 1 car at the pump as opposed to 4 will hurt them.

i am going to buy gas on the 15th. The boycott is a stupid idea. You were right about the 4 cents. Some of the other expenses include refrinement, clean air taxes, government taxes, operation costs at the refinery, etc

Wouldn't it be easier to boycott the conservative politicians that protect the big oil companies?
