i need to restore my computer all the way back to factory settings and i dont have the cds how do i do it?

not using system restore i neeed to go all the way back to factory settings so dont just say system restore

This will depend on what kind of computer you have. If it is a Dell, for instance, you can call them for the restore disks for your computer, assuming you bought it from them. Otherwise, some dell machines had a hidden directory with everything on it, when you boot the computer press Crtl and F12 (I think) at the same time, that should let you restore it.

If it is another type of computer, you are probably left with formatting the hard drive and buying new programs. Of course in many cases, "factory settings" only means the operating system, surely you have the discs for that.

First you need to get the CD that should have come with your computer. If you did not get them when you bought it then call the maker and give them the service code ID and ask them to send the CD. they may charge you $30 or more.

When you get CD put it in your drive and start your computer and choose format C: and go through what is asked.

go to Start > Acessories > System Restore and follow the instructions. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to START>ALL PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>SYSTEM TOOLS>click on SYSTEM RESTORE and follow the trail.
