Beethoven's Ninth Symphony (in D Minor), the 2nd movement "Choral, Molto Vivace".
If you're wondering about this song, you should watch "Immortal Beloved". This song is featured in the soundtrack when Beethoven is trying to meet his beloved and his carriage breaks down, and she is left in agony in a hotel.
John Rutter's Requiem, the whole thing, is breathtaking.
When I feel empassioned, Sergei Rachmaninov moves me. His Piano Concertos are astoundingly powerful. Maruice Ravel's "Le Tombeau de Couperin" is uplifting. Schubert's Lieder, particularly Erlkonig (see a recording by Dietrich Fischer-Dieksau, Baritone put out by Deutsche Grammophon) makes me cry every time. For purity and sweetness, Mozart's Clarinet Concerto (in A Major) cannot be beat. My favorite recording of this features Eric Hoeprich (Phillips record label).

Us old times from before WWII have many. I think we were more romantic back in those days. our music reflects this.. Dearly Beloved a somg I always l;ikes says "Dearly beloved, how clearly I see. Some where in Heavem you were fashioned for me. Angel eyes knew you, angel voices led me to you. so I say merely, Dearly beloved be mine."Then too there was "Throw that Pistol down babe" now how romantic was that? Blue Moon is a good one, I have many each to fit the mood I am in and of course the most important thing "The mood of the lady"
