clever aren't we
YES
With the Assassination of Lincoln, the Presidency fell upon an old-fashioned southern Jacksonian Democrat of pronounced states' rights views. Although an honest and honorable man, Andrew Johnson was one of the most unfortunate of Presidents. Arrayed against him were the Radical Republicans in Congress, brilliantly led and ruthless in their tactics. Johnson was no match for them.
Johnson was not elected.
Clinton is the one and only embarrassment of the United States.
If you consider for just one moment the power of the internet, google, yahoo and so forth, the fact that so many got this answer wrong is a basic condemnation of AMericas public education system. Don't you think?

No. Andrew Johnson also was impeached. Both Clinton and Johnson were acquitted. The Republican hero, Richard Nixon resigned before he could be impeached, knowing full well he would be removed from office in disgrace.
Another disgraceful thing is that Republicans cant find any issues to attack Hillary with, so they bring back the Clinton impeachment thing. Get some new material.

yes. The only other President who was impeached was Andrew Johnson, who became President after Lincoln was assassinated.
In 1974, the House Judiciary Committee voted to impeach Richard Nixon, and the full House would have voted impeachment. However, Nixon resigned before he was officially impeached.

You don't hear Dems argue that Mr. Clinton was impeached. What most Dems have a problem with is the REASON Clinton was impeached. He lied about getting a BJ! But to some, I guess it's worse that thousands and thousands of soldiers and Iraqi civilians dying for mr. bush's own personal reasons, destroying a beautiful country and trying to rebuild it again. Now there are some impeachable offenses!

And you thought wrong.
Presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives, but acquitted by the Senate. Richard Nixon resigned before he could be impeached.

Clinton was the ONLY President impeached because of a Republican witch hunt. If you do some actual research on this, you would know that to be true.

Because during an investigation regarding an assault charge, sexual against him, he lied. He was asked again and he lied to authorities. He was brought to impeachment proceeding because of the lies not the acts of B*j etc in the Oval office.
I can not name him but I do believe one other was on his way like Jackson but long ago it was not followed thru with.
Clinton was nailed by a little dress but never formally charged for impeding an investigation, let alone lieing on national TV to a whole country he swore to protect.
Nixon, he had the guts to resign. For his credit, in my opinion.
