Hi
You might not agree with what they are doing but by law, they might not actually be doing anything wrong.
The land has a right of way and public access.
The local authorities can provide sites for travellers, if they dont have designated sites then they can designate 'transit sites' where travellers can stay for a limited period. Another option maybe that the council dont do either but do not raise an objection to an unauthorised site.
So basically without knowing the full story, you dont know if the council are allowing them to use the land.
At the end of the day who are we to judge other peoples life styles?

Brussels may be the capital of Belgium and could be the principal seat of the Belgian Royal Family and, also the capital of the European Union and if you intend to know after that it this is the place hotelbye . Brussels is an amazingly little, easy-going, and human-sized city for many its importance. Unlike anthers city using their millions of tourists, Brussels is Belgium's main financial and academic link, which gives the town a far more workaday feel than different towns. Here, in Brussels, if you'd choose to see, you will receive a proper feel for Belgian life, especially their fantastic cafe and café culture. Even though Brussels might not have the celebrity attractions of other Belgian neighborhoods, the capital has ample to keep guests occupied for a couple of days with a clutch of world-class museums and artwork galleries, along with quirkier sights such as the Atomium, and some great remnants of old structure in the previous community quarter.

Are you talking about gypsies as in clean, lovely people with an alternative lifestyle, great history and believe in living off the land etc or are you talking pikeys?
If they are gypsies, I can't see the problem, if they are pikeys then every time they stop they should be charged council tax like the rest of us. Surely, when you stay in one place you are no longer a traveller?
I do believe some members of the local community could do something about it. As soon as there is the report of one incident - stealing, abuse etc. all local shopkeepers and pubs refused them access they would soon move on.
I love the idea of an alternative lifestyle but that is a matter of choice. If you don't want to be part of a community you can hardly moan if the community looks after itself rather than you. I notice that when these pikeys do settle they immediately want places in the local schools, doctors, dentits, dole etc but give nothing back - in fact, they often cause far more trouble than they are worth and prove a very expensive luxury.

If you educated yourself regarding the history of the ROMA people, maybe you would have a little more sympathy and a little less sniveling. They really have very few options for entering the work force. Their lifestyle has traditionally been more a matter of necessity than choice. Those that do choose to settle face a high likelihood of being the victims of (often violent) hate crimes, and often have to move on anyway after their homes are vandalized, or they are unable to obtain work. There's really no reason to be pissed off, no doubt your life is full of a lot less tribulation than theirs (the average life expectancy for a Roma male is less than 50 years, due in large part to poverty). Taking all that into account, is it really that big deal that you had to park down the street that day? Maybe you should try to have a Christian spirit and let it go, and count your blessings.

I have to admit that is an unusual question. In the United States we really don't have a large enough gypsy concern to inspire many laws restricting or allowing their camps. My guess here is that the gypsies in question obtained a permit or permission form the owners or the city respectively. If they have not then I would imagine they are trespassing. To the best of my knowledge we do not have a code of laws protecting the rights of gypsies.

They tried parking up in our local Sainsburys last year. They were moved on within 24 hours.
As the carpark sounds like its owned by the authorities I reckon they will be moved rather quickly.

The unelected parasitic quislings of the EAST of ENGLAND REGIONAL ASSEMBLY ( the E,E,R,A for short ) who are only answerable to Brussels. Have decreed that over a thousand extra traveller ( pikey's) sites WILL be put in Essex. that's along with a few hundred thousand or so NEW houses next to the M11.
P.S I do agree geronimo ( below ) Gypsy's are clean & tidy people who respect the country side they live in. then you get pikey's with rubbish & human faeces left all over the place .

relies upon whether the wellness center has any regulations on the vehicle park alongside with no in one day parking and additionally i assume does the floor quite belong to them. In Scotland the place i'm the community councils have a non-harrassment coverage and so the visitors can actually flow the place they like and the police have not got any powers to tension them to go on

In the US you can't camp on public grounds without a permit and we'd call the police;I imagine the police are the answer there as well (assuming you are GB)
