He's in the coast guard and we've been dating only a month. We've tried dating before, but the distance was too much for us. He just transferred here and we met last night. We plan to get together more often, and possibly move in together. We've talked about our lives and what we see for our future, and we agree on almost everything. Would I say yes if he asked me to marry him? I don't know. What do you think?

i know the distance is painfull and very difficult but it is better to wait and continue to meet face to face until you both get rid of the quesiton marks in your minds. if he is truly in love to you, he will wait the right time to come together and wont leave you anyway. dont worry. best wishes.

Say no and actually, before he asks, tell him your views on marriage. (lol - here are your views as of right now)
You believe two people need to live and grow together for at least a year before marriage could be put on the table to think about. This is to protect both of you from doing something that shouldn't have been done if something were not quite right. When it is time, there won't be any confusion by you hearing that small voice from within contradicting your conscious thought.

I am confused you known him for 3 years, dated him for a month, and only seen him once. How can you date someone for a month but only see him once hmmm this sounds nutty to me. You both sound like you are jumping into something you know nothing about.

Girl, you don't even know him. I been with mine since I graduated from high school and I'm in my mid 30's and I still don't know him to this day. You can reread this 2 diffrent ways. Read the 1st sentence and read the 2nd one.
You can be with someone all your life and they are still full of surprises!!! I suggest wait a little while longer.

NO WAY!!

This is a pure silly/naive way of thinking. Take the consideration out of your head and toss it away.

Get to know him first up close and personal before making such a huge decision as marriage.

You're getting ahead of yourself girl! He hasn't asked you yet. Take the time to get to know him and to get the feel of being a couple. Don't hurry into marriage
