he is racist? My best friend has a friend and he hates me because he doesnt like people who are like me. My parents are from India, so I'm asian + he said all this bad stuff about me to my friend, talking about how I am responsible for what happenned in new york... like on 9/11. It made me soo sad I started crying and it is awkward to talk to her and then have him be there. He doesnt do anything to me, but behind my back he says stuff. I wanted to try to be nice to him and see if we could just be friends, but I don't know if that is a good idea. What should I do? I talk to my friend everyday and then he will be there and it makes me feel sad and uncomfortable.

Explain to your friend that this guy dis respects you so much and that when you and your friend are around eachother you prefer him not be there since all he does is dis respect you. And for talking to the guy explain to him how it feels and that there is no way you could have had any part in that. You care just as much about this country as him and just because your parents are from a different country doesnt make you any less an american than him!

Some people say bad things to the others not because those others are really bad, but because they have such a character, that is they always find any kinds of faults in the people around them and scold and scold with no halts

And so much for racial harmony hey? Don't worry, racism exists anywhere else too, I have experienced it before. Be proud of your Indian roots, I'm sure you are. Don't let this bugger bring you down. I suggest you be confident of yourself, and tell him off. It's hard but it has to happen. Tell him straight in his face because unlike him you have 'balls'. Sure it hurts, my friend just said something offensive about my religion but I don't say bad things about hers because my religion isn't about that. Don't feel awkward about being around him, make HIM feel awkward being around you. I hope all goes well. Take care dear.

If your best friend was really your "best friend" then he'll do something about it. I have called a lot of people my best friend but one by one they fail to protect me or to respect me as me. Talk to your best friend. If your friend won't do anything about it then maybe he's not your best friend. Maybe he's not willing to lose his friend and that he'll rather be with this racist jerk.

talk to someone at your school or with your parents and take care of the problems. I know it's easier said then done, but try to talk to someone
