We gave the Iraqis a democracy. Why not let them use it. Why not let them vote on whether or not the U.S. should stay in Iraq. If they say NO, we leave. If they say YES, we stay. Any bets on the outcome of such a vote??

Do you mean let their parliament vote or let the citizenry vote about the American occupation? I would be extremely interested in the outcome of the parliament having a vote on this. I believe the average Iraqi citizen would want the U.S. there for a while.

Isn't voting part of the democratic process? I think they SHOULD vote. Voice can be very progressive. All sides (belief systems) in Iraq would be working together for the first time. I am sure that all sides just might like the U.S. out of their country.

We should do that but they are going to vote us out. That is the problem, though I'm against the war is not convenient to leave immediately. I think we need to partition Iraq and split the oil revenues between them while leaving some soldiers to protect our interests.

I think that is a great idea, but those in power ( like Halliburton for example) are not going to go for it, because this whole thing is about oil, and no bid contracts, and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to them, and they care about nothing else!!!!! *sm*
