red for the early ones, they are a little better flavored in my opinion as well. White seem to take a little more heat here, ever grow those big Japanese ones? pretty cool as well.

With a salad I like the red but I like the white when cooked in tempura sauce.

Oh gosh. I like them both. But probably the white cause they are hotter. Love'em raw with a bit of salt.
