I downloaded a movie for the 1st time yesterday.(blood diamond) it was an AVI file. But when I opened it it didn't play the picture, just the sound. What do i need to know to download my next movie, so it will work?
What type of file do i need.
I have real player, media player,and quick time. but none worked with it.

u cant open that file with players like real,wmp r quick time....u can play it with vlc ( this is a much better media player...that supports all platforms and all media files...and it is also a free and open source software)u can download it here........

A lot of movies now with the AVI suffix are DIVX. Downloading the divx package will install a stand alone player and codecs so Media Player can also play them.

You might require a certian codec for it to run in Windows media player, but thats a pain, so most just recommend switching players.
The most popular would be winamp and the VLC player.
