Wash off your plastic frogs with tap water, rinse some kind of glass bowl at least 16 oz. in size and your Betta will live. If you can get a bigger fish bowl it would be better but the other one will work. I have a friend who has her Betta swimming around a glass bowl that has roots from a house plant in it and the fish loves it. That's more natural if you think about it. She also refreshen's the water on a regular basis and the Betta does well. Hint...When using tap water, always let the water sit at room temperature for a hour or so. this lets the smells of chlorine and other impurities steep out of the water. Have fun, good luck.

Bowls are bad for fish all fish even a betta. Ammonia builds up quickly in a bowl and can kill your fish. If you must have a bowl, you need to change the water every 3-5 days to keep it safer for the betta.

It's best to get a nice 3-5g tank for your betta, it will be lively active and more colorful. I would recomend an eclipse system aquarium. They are easy to maintain and do a great job keeping the levels of toxins down with the biofilter.

Use only fabric/silk plants that have no sharp edhes that can harm your betta, also check any decorations for sharp or rough patches that can harm the betta.

I would not trust those plastic frogs to be safe.

Tap is water is fine, just make sure to treat it with a water condiotner to remove chlorine/chloramine.

Tap water is fine for fish as long as it's the proper temperature and you add something to take the chlorine or chloramine out (check you water supplier to find out which they use).

A betta should have a gallon of water at the very minimum. I keep mine in the 2.5 gallon or 5 gallon Mini Bow acrylic tanks that are sold. These come with a light, filter, water conditioner sample and food (flakes) sample. I add a small heater and colored gravel to match the tank trim, plus some live and/or silk plants and a small piece of driftwood. When people see my bettas, they can't believe how active they are - but if you give them a tropical temperature (76-80o for mine) space, and some decor, they have more to do and explore.

I wouldn't trust the frogs if they aren't made for use in an aquarium. Sit them on the top or right at the base of the tank instead.
