I will tell you what I made for my Mom many many years ago. I sat down and wrote her a letter, in which I thanked her for all the sacrifices she made for me, for loving me, for having taken care of me, for having taught me the difference between right and wrong, for having always encouraged me to expand my horizons, for making me a good citizen, for loving my sisters, for being proud of who I was in spite of the fact that we were poor, for helping me to get a first rate education, and as my sisters told me, every night for three years she would not go to bed without praying that I would come back from WW2 unharmed. There were a lot of other things that I wrote her; most of all how much I loved and admired her and her courage. She was special. She had that letter framed and always read it. . When she died, she left that letter for me with a note on the back which she had written: " There are no honors, nor any amount of money that you could have given me that would have touched my heart more than what you wrote me. You are my only son, and I want you to know that you left your footprints on my heart. I will always love you." signed Mom

Something I liked to do for my mom on mothers day was to give her a "day off". I would get with my sister and clean up the entire house including laundery. Then I would offer to babysit while her and dad went out to dinner. I sure miss her now. One thing is certain.. never take her for granted, and tell her you love ehr everyday. That is the greatest gift you can give.

you could try to make a coupon book for things like a shoulder massage, or a niight without having to cook dinner, whatever works for your family dynamic.

You could do some sweeping or dusting, dishes or vacuum?
Even laundry. She would appreciate that.

Time...time for her to do whatever she wants. Perhaps you can do her chores for her so that she can have that time spent to do what she'd LIKE to do.
