You didn't give details or the "full story". Based on what you wrote, I can only assume that this goes both ways. I've answered and read many stories similar to yours. The only suggestion that I can give you is for you to keep track of what the boss tells you that you consider "bullying". Don't talk back or add to the bad situation. When you feel the time is right, bring it up with HR or there boss and take it from there.

Overall, this is a bad situation for you. Believe me when I tell you that this actually hurts you more than you think. These situations can sometimes extend to your home, family, husband, children, friends, etc.

If you think about your boss and work when you go to bed at night, this is a sign that might suggest that its time for you to find another job or move to another department. Stressing over your workplace has no business in your life and should be taken care of right away.

Good Luck to you.

It depends on the level of authority your boss have. Do she have any higher ups? She's your boss so there is no use complaining to her, she will not give you the chance and will use that as a reason for firing you. The term your boss would use in reason of your discharge is "insubordination".

Write a letter and document all of the reasons why you feel bullied(don't use bully in your report) and have it proofread by a person of education. craigslist have many people who are willing to help you with this task. Just go to the 'services' and click on lessons. If you don't live in CA you should search for people who live in CA, specifically people in San Francisco/Bay area. They are often very educated and can help you tremendously.

Remember, don't confront her, she will play dirty. Send a letter to her higher ups and she will be written up. If you can, hint law suit. Employees' Rights.

Your boss is a snotty person and suffers from low esteem. Do not engage her with comments, like "I am here," as you are fueling her and giving her a sense of empowerment.

Women are notorious for using names and isolation in relationships to make another feel left out, unimportant, and unwanted. She most likely lacks good communication skills and cannot appropriately express what is bothering her.

Rise above her. Say "Good Morning" and be off to do your job.

If you are interested in more information do a web search on "Girl bullies or relational aggression" as there is a lot of good information on the web.

So make it a point when you gett there to say, "GOOD morning, Jane!" as loudly and cheerily as possible. She is being petty....which gives you two choices. Give in and be just as petty as she is, or rise above it. Which one will make you feel better about yourself? Which will make you look better in the eyes of your coworkers?

Sometimes it helps to pretend that you are an actor, or that you are royalty in disguise ("Silly peon! If she only knew I could have her beheaded with one word!") Of course you don't say those things out loud - but just thinking them can help you to have a different attitude about her behavior. It is kind of sad and pathetic when you think about it.

If you give a mouse a cookie he will want a glass of milk. That is what happens when you suck up.

My advice is to list your resume on Career Builder, and find something else. Life is too short. Been there done it!

Take her outside and whoop her a.s.s and show her who's the boss just kidding Well I'm sure she has a boss or supervisor or a corprate person thats over her you should talk to them about it and tell them what she is doing if that doesnt work try the first thing listed above.

No one has the right to bully another person. Is she the only one over you? Is this the only comparable job in your area? Stand up for yourself, life is too short to allow someone to abuse you.

That sounds so unbelievably petty. And you are worse for letting it bother you.

Just go to work everyday & do your job. There is always someone before her & someone after her. She is your BOSS you aren't suppose to like her & she is expected to be your friend. I would just do my job & talk to her as little as possible. If you gets to you that much take her behind closed doors & ask her what her problem is.....There is no law against that.
