my belkin router will not allow me to connect my PS3 or Xbox360 to the internet. it can find the IP address when the WEP key is entered but cannot find the DNS or internet connection...help !!

On your PS3 and Xbox make sure the DNS address is the same as your gateway address, should be something like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

That should get your internet connection up and running for your consols......

Use the router's IP as the default gateway NOT the DNS. Use the DNS that your computer reports that is uses in ipconfig.

Run ipconfig from a Command Prompt window on your computer to find the DNS and router that it is using, then manually enter them into your braindead PS3 and XBox360.

Also, make very sure that you've chosen the right strength WEP key on the PS2 and XBox360 and that you've typed it correctly.
You should have a choice of something like 64bit 128bit, 256bit, etc. Make sure it matches the one that you use on your Belkins.

The dns should point to the router, as it will change if a server goes down, the router will detect this, also the ISP sometimes changes the offered dns, if you set the server direct you will lose connection.

try puting a static ip into the 360 or ps3, use the routers gateway as the dns
