His DNA mutated. The experiment he done awoke a long dormant gene which took over his body and mutated him. It slowly became the dominant gene.
The reason his DNA mutated was because he used high frequence sounds to re-arrange his DNA. His primary goal was to make him younger, but it backfired and he became a mutant thing.
