Im 13 going on 14 and I know this is still like a year away and everything but you have to prepare in advance. Im half Colombian and half Moroccan. I don't know , I'm half hispanic and half not. I was born in Florida and speak both languages of the 2 countries! HELP ME PLZ!!!

Well you should have a quinceanera because you are hispanic and your parents might want you to have this one cause you are a hispanic female. Then again you should have a sweet sixteen because the other side of you family may want you to have that one. I say that you should do whatever you want because I had the same problem and nothing good came of it because both sides of my family would not agree on either one son i made up my own which combines both of them.

To which one is your heart more drawn? Quinceaneras tend to have a religious flavor around them, whereas Sweet Sixteens tend to be purely secular. Also, do you feel like celebrating your Hispanic heritage or not? Do you have more Hispanic or non-Hispanic friends and acquaintances?
I suggest you do both: one small and intimate with your family and a couple of close friends, and one bigger party with many friends and with those big festive trimmings--whatever you and your parents can reasonably afford and are comfortable with.
Please don't be like those "My Super Sweet Sixteen" b****es that I've heard about, and please don't let yourself or your parents break the bank or go into debt over this. Have fun!

En Argentina festejan los 15 con una fiesta o con un viaje en el que van todas chicas de 15. Los 16 suena más a yanqui. Pero fijate, si podés hacé los dos, es tu vida, la vivís sóo una vez y son recuerdos que quedan para siempre. Si es por el tema económico, elegí la que más te guste. Te deseo toda la suerte y felicidad en lo que elijas.

I think you should do sweet sixteen, since that's what americans do. That's if you wanna live by their culture.
