people are no longer the only clever animals interior the international, its in basic terms that some people tend to have self assurance that they are extra beneficial than the different species. I even have seen many animals do clever issues. They hunt and and stay out interior the wild, they must be quite clever to even stay to tell the tale the barren area. Animals like canine have been hassle-free to shop the lives of people, whether it is that the human is being attacked or if the human has had a heart attack or in spite of. I even have even heard of a canine sensing that his proprietor had breast maximum cancers and with out the canine, she would in no way of hassle-free.

The top ten:
apes
dolphins
dogs
cats
crows
ravens
parrots
pigs
squirrels
octopi

Dolphins swim and live in highly organized family groups called pods. Females assist others in giving birth. They hunt cooperatively. They talk with one another—whistling, quacking, squeaking. We have taught dolphins sign language, which they interpret correctly—both the sign meaning and how sign order affects meaning.

Cats and dogs match or surpass all animals except apes, some monkeys, and dolphins.

Ravens, crows, and parrots solve problems and are highly social creatures. Ravens can talk with each other, count to 9 (compared with 4 for chimps), and steal. They play—sliding down long snow banks, for example.

People have trained pigs to find truffles. Medieval English used pigs to poach (pointing and retrieving) since commoners were allowed only tiny dogs. A researcher reported seeing an old woman in southern India speak to her pig, which immediately rounded up her buffalo herd like a well-trained collie.

Squirrels are highly intelligent animals and will investigate anything, especially if it resembles food. Theda Kane raised an orphan squirrel in the United Kingdom. "I had to give up wearing stud earrings as Oz kept taking them out of my earlobes and putting them in his mouth. He also methodically removed all the buttons from my favorite cardigan and persistently stole my cigarette lighter," she says.

Boneless octopi can ooze through a hole as small as one of their eyes. Being boneless makes orientation challenging. They’ve developed phenomenal memories to compensate. They’re clever too. Investigators tell many such stories as this one: An octopus spies a transparent bottle containing live crabs and quickly puzzles out how to open it. What’s more, she remembers solutions and applies them to different problems.

there's serious investigation going on at the moment into the giant octopus... awesomely clever apparently.... there's also a lot of questions about what intelligence is and how it works. Some small wolf spiders show as much if not more intelligence than mice, even though their brains are a hundredth of the size... so size isn't everything!

well... I thought it was interesting!

Chimps are the smartest animals outside humans. But due to my growing up on a farm and having no interaction with chimps, dolphins, or parrots, I would have to say that ravens (crows) are the smartest. They can talk, they can count (especially when hunters are involved), and they steal.

Insects. Do some research on the behaviour of cockroaches and you might be surprised! They have complex systems of emergent behaviour. Not individually intelligent but collectively. They also have the best survival mechanisms.
