What happens to the pH and hydrogen ion concentration when water is added to a solution of HCl??

Well, I am a chemist. The pH will go up closer to neutral which is 7 and the Hydrogen ion concentration will go down. Hope this helps.

the ph will increase as ex from 1 to 5 the water become ionized H+ AND OH-

[H+] goes down, and pH goes up!
